The course is relevant to the needs of SACE, but could focus more on training up of educators - whether it be in knowledge or in skill.

The course is completely relevant with the needs of SACE in training educators. Educators will grow in their understanding after this course and gain a skill that will add to education in South Africa.

Teaching methods should be conductive to learning. Different teaching methods should be used to cater for different ways of learning.

The teaching method is dull and the same teaching method is used throughout.

The teaching methods are reasonable and makes use of different methods throughout the course. The teaching methods could be more engaging.

The course should strive for equity and should display equity in course content and activities

Equity is not displayed in the course. No effort is made to make the teachers aware of equality.

The course displays equity. Teachers are aware of equity while going through the course in some content or activities.

The course displays equity and teachers are aware of equity in course content and activities.
Assessment

The assessment task should be formative and summative. Formative assessment must take place throughout the course to aid learning and one summative assessment task must be taken at the end of the course.

The assessment tasks do not aid learning and there is no summative assessment task at the end of the course.

The assessment tasks aid learning and there is a summative assessment task at the end of the course.
Good

The assessment tasks aid learning and different tasks are used during the course. The summative assessment task tests the teachers knowledge at the end of the course.
Monitoring and Evaluation

The course must monitor teachers progress and evaluation of assessment task occurs fast and is constructive.

Monitoring takes place and evaluation of assessment tasks and performance occurs fast or is constructive.

Support must be provided for the teachers taking part in the course.

There is little to no support given to participants of the course.

Support is given but is not very clear. Teachers could be more aware of the support structure and how they can receive support.

Clear support is provided for teachers. Teachers know where to get the support at any given point and support is given for all problems.
