Portfolio Evaluation - Ed.D. Program 
Raters will submit their rating forms to the Office of Doctoral Studies Program Director, who will compile the overall results from the two raters (total possible range 0 – 12). The Office of Doctoral Studies Program Director will prepare an evaluation summary that will be submitted to the student’s Academic Advisor/Chair who will review the evaluation with the student within two weeks of receiving the evaluation summary. The student and Academic Advisor/Chair will each sign the evaluation summary, the student will be provided with a copy and the original will be returned to the Office of Doctoral Studies to be included in the student’s program file.

Poor

The portfolio lacks evidence of research or scholarship. Insufficient progress on completing the dissertation is noted given the length of time involved in the program.
Quality of Reflection and Analysis

Good

The reflection shows thorough and rigorous analysis throughout. Clear links are made between the elements, significant use of data in research and dissertation activities, and clear demonstration of student learning outcomes for core elements, students’ knowledge, skills and growth.
Fair

The reflection and analysis shows thorough and rigorous analysis in some but not all parts. Although links are made between the elements and there are examples of data in research and dissertation activities, student learning outcomes for core elements, students’ knowledge, skills and growth the insight is limited.
Poor

The reflection and analysis do not demonstrate thorough and rigorous analysis. Few links are made between the elements, there is limited data in application, research and dissertation activities, and there is not clear demonstration of student learning outcomes for core elements, students’ knowledge, skills and growth.
